This policy explains what cookies and similar technologies we use across sageon.co.uk, app.sageon.co.uk (Sageon AI) and pm.sageon.co.uk (Sageon Business).
What we use
Essential cookies only. No advertising trackers. No third-party analytics that profile you. No data sold to anyone.
Specifically:
- Authentication cookies set by Supabase - keep you signed in (named
sb-*). Strictly necessary. - Session/CSRF cookies set by Next.js - protect against cross-site request forgery. Strictly necessary.
- UI preference cookies (sidebar collapsed, theme) - stored in localStorage, not transmitted to us.
- Stripe sets cookies on checkout.stripe.com during payment, used for fraud detection. We do not control these directly; see Stripe's cookie policy.
Why no consent banner for these
UK PECR requires explicit consent for non-essential cookies. The cookies we set are all strictly necessary for the service to work, so consent isn't legally required. We still show a brief notice on first visit so you know what's being set.
If we add analytics or marketing cookies in future, we'll add a consent banner and update this page.
How to opt out
You can clear cookies any time via your browser settings. Note that clearing authentication cookies will sign you out of any Sageon product.
Changes
If we change what cookies we use, this page is updated and we'll show a renewed notice on next visit.
